It has been a pleasure and frankly lots of hard work serving on the town council for the past five years and I would like to continue this endeavor for one more term. Five years ago, who would have guessed there would be a catastrophic flood in Western North Carolina like no one has ever seen. We have gone through a tough time of rescues, and the recovery work has progressed well, but there is a lot more work to be done. The town council and the town staff have done an incredible job of dealing with FEMA, the US Army Corps of Engineers and various other state and federal agencies. There is a lot more work to do in the town and I would like to help with it. Along with our recovery efforts the town is in the process of updating our town’s comprehensive plan.
